Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations Support: Act as a key resource for managers and employees on issues related to workplace behavior, policies, performance, and dispute resolution.
  • Conflict Resolution: Investigate and resolve employee grievances, complaints, and disputes, ensuring fairness and consistency in the process.
  • Labor Relations: Work with union representatives, if applicable, to negotiate, implement, and enforce collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). Represent the company during union-related discussions and grievance meetings.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and health and safety regulations. Advise management on legal or regulatory issues affecting employee relations.
  • Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or misconduct and recommend appropriate actions to resolve issues.
  • Training and Support: Provide training to managers and employees on labor relations, conflict resolution, workplace behavior, and compliance with relevant employment laws and CBAs.
  • Employee Communication: Maintain clear and open channels of communication between employees, management, and union representatives to ensure transparency and trust.
  • Workplace Compliance: Stay up to date with labor laws, industry regulations, and best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant with employment standards.
  • Union Relations: Participate in negotiations with unions regarding wage rates, working conditions, benefits, and other employment terms. Act as a liaison between employees, union representatives, and management.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Work with managers to ensure consistent and fair application of disciplinary actions, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Report Generation: Maintain records of employee relations activities, including grievances, disciplinary actions, investigations, and outcomes. Provide reports and analysis on trends or issues affecting employee relations.
