acant position: Category Buyer/ Manager (Vacancies available for the categories of Food, Non-Food, Fresh, and Department Store)
Office Location: WalterMart Head Office in North Edsa (Muñoz), Quezon City
Job Summary:
– Tasks include buying, negotiation, trading partner engagement with vendors, report analysis, product sourcing, and maintaining vendor relationships.
Key result areas: Sales and Margin; Buying Fundamentals.
Job Description:
- Buying & Forecasting.
- Responsible for preparation, analysis, and monitoring of vendor related matters & purchases.
- Assists Category Managers / AVP in executing merchandising plans, maintaining inventory levels, negotiations & merchandising.
- Sourcing of new merchandise and review existing items to ensure products remain competitive.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Technology, or any 4-year course.
- At least 1 year and up of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Highly analytical on consumer buying patterns.
- Amenable to work for a compressed work-week schedule, Monday to Friday, on-site at WalterMart Head Office in North Edsa, Quezon City.
