Growers Food Industries was established on July 1963 by Mr. Shu Too Thip who started his operation in his own backyard in Manila. His love for peanuts and  penchant for experimenting sparked a concept in roasting that gave birth to the Garlic-Flavoured, Less Grease Roasted Peanut. The Product was a revolutionary because it was not messy and oily compared to the traditional “Adobong Mani”.

In 1963, The operation  were transferred to its  currents address in Valenzuela City  to address the growing demands and the plant continued to expand as sales grow.

The 80’s saw major changes and achievements for the company. GROWERS launched the 140 gram pounch using the stand-up pouch. (SUP) foil desig,n. the frist in the snack food industry in the Philippines.Growers Food Industries was also incorporation as GFI Enterprises, Inc. with Mrs. Lily U. Shu Too as the Chairman.

 

A wide range of new products with different variant were also introduced such as, Savoury Hot Peanuts, Oriental Flavour Peanuts, Glazed Pili Nuts Salted Pistachio, Onion & Garlic Almonds, Toasted & Salted Cashew Nut among others. The company was also recognized with numerous award throughout the years and one of which in recent year have been the prestigious Super brands Awards.

Today, Growers continues to innovate and adopt new concept.  Given the mission to enrich the lifestyle of every individual and to provide healthier food options the vision to become every generations food brand of choice, the company recently launched another new product, the first to be manufactured locally-The NutriBar

And in its continued quest to satisfy customer while providing safe food product at the same time, GFI adheres to GMP and Codex Standard. Recently, the company has embarked on the establishment, implementation and continual improvement of a HACCP System Pre-Requisite Program conforming to codex Alimentarius and GMP requirements.
